The Manager, Retail Training is responsible for leading a learning and development strategy, vision, and action plan to implement instructional material, learning content and training initiatives across the retail division.


  • Lead the development and implementation of retail policies and procedures
  • Lead the development and execution of retail training initiatives and programs
  • Lead the creation of content and curriculum designed to enhance the learning process
  • Develop and maintain feedback and evaluation processes / tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Conduct regular retail needs assessments, identifying skill or knowledge gaps
  • Serve as a strategic liaison, identifying opportunities to leverage retail training programs across the organization
  • Plan and execute annual retail field management meetings / training conferences alongside Retail Operations Manager
  • Manage retail training team (i.e., District Trainers) and provide support and guidance to Training Store Managers
  • Conduct instructional research and maintain up to date knowledge on industry standards and processes

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of principles, methods and techniques used in the design and delivery of effective learning and development solutions
  • Knowledge of learning management systems preferred
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey strategies and information at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a clear sense of priorities for self and team


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Learning / Development, Project Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in curriculum development and training delivery
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
