The Role:
Working closely with the Leisure Regional Manager, Sales Director, Retail Operations and Regional Sales Manager to provide quality financial analysis to aid decision making, driving and improving site profitability and staff productivity. To clearly communicate analysis to exec members and investor team in a clear and concise manner during monthly performance reviews, developing processes to facilitate profit driving behaviour across all leisure sites. Competing due diligence and appraisal projects for proposed new sites.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
- To develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Deliver high quality, actionable insight to Leisure, Development & Operations teams.
- Develop weekly and monthly target setting process with commerciality at the forefront of mind
- Lead monthly performance reviews with Regional and site Managers
- Complete due diligence on potential leisure sites, working with the senior leadership and investor team.
- On site review of historic performance and modelling future potential profitability, including P&L and cash flow and investment appraisals
- Develop recommendations as to how trading propositions should be adjusted to drive improved performance.
- Responsible for measurement of key trading initiatives and KPI’s across all Leisure sites including comparisons to business case
- Produce annual and periodic sales forecasts by site to aid in the annual budget and supplementary forecast process
- Work collaboratively alongside Retail Business Partner and Ecomm
- Business Partner to further the Omni channel strategy.
About you:
- Ability to turn complex and large data sets into simple, actionable insights and explain complex analysis to non-technical stakeholders
- Essential: Advanced Excel skills
- Essential: experience in retail/leisure and commercial understanding of key commercial drivers and where/how insight can drive decision making
- Preferable - use of data visualisation tooling (Power BI, Tableau)
