Job Description

The Role:

To be the interface between Buying & Merchandising and the Ecommerce Trading Teams. Working 37.5 hours per week in our retail support centre, Warrington.

Responsibilities:

As the eCommerce Merchandiser your responsibilities will include:

  • Ecomm Range architecture, Range planning & Development.
  • Web site Range distribution & planning
  • Ensuring each trading site (AG.CO.UK, Online Golf UK & International sites, Amazon, Next maintains a point of difference.
  • Ensuring ring-fenced stock is sufficient to meet Ecomm promotional requirements liaising with Branch Merch to achieve.
  • Proposing and implementing promotional and markdown activity specifically for Online Golf and Amazon.
  • Managing category-level performance in comparison to budget and previous year – sales/ stock/ margin and intake.
  • Forecasting Ecomm only product line sales and profitability using Excel and a data warehouse.
  • Planning promotions alongside cat manager / ecomm trading head.
  • Assisting in the planning of Ecomm budgets and presenting these to the merch planners.
  • Controlling terminal stock levels at online golf.
  • Control markdowns within the category for OG and marketplaces.
  • Analyse and report on Non/Slow Selling stock and propose trading actions.
  • Awareness of online competition.

Sales forecasting

  • Identifying slow and fast-moving product lines
  • Identifying appropriate stock levels
  • Making recommendations for price changes

Reporting

Production of weekly and monthly reports as follows:

  • Production of sales reports
  • Sales and Stock by brand by Website
  • Stock level reporting

General

  • Cross-functional working/communication
  • Utilising in house systems to produce timely information
  • Production of weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Ad hoc analysis as directed by the HOM

To be involved in project work as and when required

  • Ecommerce Merchandising Experience working in a direct-to-consumer business, preferably fashion or sports trade.
  • Desirable: Understanding of the golf industry.
