JOB OVERVIEW

Callaway Golf is a recognized leader within the social and digital spaces thanks to creation of best-in-class content and outstanding storytelling that resonates with its audience. The Senior Digital Manager helps further fuel the brand’s momentum by taking ownership of both the underlying strategy and implementation of its core digital, social and community marketing initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all consumer marketing initiatives are aligned with Callaway core business and brand objectives
  • Prepare campaign briefings for internally and externally managed creative and content initiatives including all relevant details on deliverables, project objectives, product features plus benefit messaging, assets
  • Stay current on market trends and competitor and category activity
  • Gather research and data to support insight and goal-based ideation
  • Oversee distribution planning across Callaway’s owned channels, which include social media, website, and community
  • Ensure consistency across product and tour related marketing messages
  • Collaborate with agency partner in vetting and evaluation of non-traditional opportunities
  • Represent Callaway in external partner meetings by communicating detail and passion for the company’s products and services
  • Manage multiple scales of production activities with both internal and external teams
  • Interface with brand ambassadors, including Tour Professionals and social media influencers.
  • Manage communications to internal groups, including preparing executive summaries and high-level strategies to the C-Suite
  • Help to enforce Social Media policy
  • Expected to contribute to department strategy setting and launch planning

  • Experience using content management systems
  • Firm grasp of fundamental digital marketing and social media best practices
  • Ability to manage detailed project plans with accuracy, positivity, and passion
  • Demonstrated success in integrating social media with broader communications, marketing, and advertising programs
  • Ability to motivate, supervise, and lead project teams
  • Passion for sports and specifically golf; ability to use golf knowledge to communicate directly with the consumer
  • Talent to interact with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality through all levels of the organization
  • Works independently, quickly and with limited direction
  • Ability to supervise others and lead project teams

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 8 years of highly relevant experience in global marketing, brand planning and communications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Solution-oriented creative thinker
  • Ability to effectively write for different audiences (internal and consumer) both short and long form
  • Experience working with external agencies on large content initiatives and campaigns
  • Adept at current social media platforms and emerging tech trends (E.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.)
  • Sporting goods knowledge / sporting industry background a significant advantage
