Member Experience Director at The Commerce Club

We are actively seeking an ambitious, engaging, and outgoing professional to join our Member Experience department. The Member Experience Director is ultimately responsible for Member management and enhancing “ClubLife” through Member Engagement, Member Connection, and Member Retention. The Director focuses on creating and executing the strategy and experience efforts for Member Engagement, Member Events/Programming, and training/developing the ClubLife Concierge Team at the Club. The ideal candidate will be a connector, able to work well under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks, solve problems, and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for creating long-lasting memories for members and guests, be experienced in customer success management, and be skilled in high-level communications.

Day to Day:

  • Hyperfocus on elevated member personalization from engagement, reservations, event welcome experience, event details, to resignation management
  • Daily display of our “3 Steps of Service”: Warm Welcomes, Magic Moments, and Fond Farewells
  • Ensure a vibrant and connected member community
  • Member Engagement:
    • Champion the engagement and retention strategy for overall Member journey + tracking, ARMI (At-Risk Member Intervention), and forecasting
    • Focus on ARMI (At-Risk Member Intervention) and increased retention practices
    • Execute Member Surveys
    • Member Milestone Management – Member profile completion, check-in/connect steps past 45 days, birthday, anniversary recognition
    • Responsible for budgeting of dues lost, resignations, and downgrades
    • Member personalized communications and writing skills
  • Member Events/Programming:
    • Execute Member Events/Programming/Experiences – tickets, registration, warm welcome, photography, social media
    • Create BEOs, Menus, and conduct BEO Meetings with the team
    • Members First – dining reservations and club facilities tabs (reservations and closures)
  • Manage Front Desk:
    • Project management, scheduling, and training of ClubLife Concierge
    • Weekly review of upcoming Member Programming responsibilities

About you:

  • Experience of 2 – 3 Years in Hospitality, Customer Relations, or Communications
  • Prefer experience in one or more of the following: customer success management, event management, relationship management, marketing, food beverage operations, customer service, membership associations, and/or fundraising
  • Prior experience in leading teams or projects to successful outcomes is preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferred. Educational concentration in business, communications, journalism, public relations, hospitality management, or recreation
  • Advanced knowledge working with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM/Salesforce, strong technical literacy with the ability to work in multiple systems
  • Ability to work well under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks at any given time, problem solver, and be adaptable
  • High energy and outgoing personality
  • Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
