The global entertainment franchise, Topgolf Entertainment Group has recently unveiled plans to expand into the Chinese market along with its new franchise partner SEAL (Sports Entertainment Asia, H.K. Ltd.).

Topgolf Entertainment Group is a brand that connects fans of golf by providing spaces where customers can use technology to play. Often, these venues offer high-end gaming, heated hitting bays, great food, and punchy cocktails - places people can relax, swing a club and get dinner, all in a few hours. Topgolf is in the market to deliver golf on the small scale but wants to make it feel larger than life. Currently, they run 60 social spaces that entertain over 20 million patrons.

This new partnership gives the company hope that even more people will be drawn by their particular brand of golf. Topgolf CEO Dolf Berle said, "This franchise partnership marks a pivotal step in the Topgolf growth story. We take a bold and purposeful approach to connecting communities around the globe, and one of the ways we are doing this is through strategic partnerships to expand our presence in international markets."

By joining forces with SEAL, Topgolf have agreed to hand over the ownership and operation of each Topgolf venue. SEAL is part of a much larger portfolio of entertainment and leisure companies with experience in developing large brands across Asia and the US. Members of the SEAL leadership have expressed excitement about the opportunities that Topgolf may offer.

SEAL Chairman Tony Hwang said, "We view Topgolf as an ideal entertainment destination across Greater China with a broad appeal for families, youth, companies and people of all ages wanting to connect and have fun together. We are incredibly excited to be partnering with Topgolf and expanding its global sports and entertainment community to our markets."

At the moment Topgolf operates in the US, the UK, and Australia. Plans are already underway to expand operations further into these existing markets, as well as new ones – Mexico, Dubai, Canada and China.
